Don't go to see AWAKE. Why? It is really like network television movie of the week. You'll go to sleep.

I did arrive 25 miniutes late, just as the movie was beginning, so missed 25 minutes of commercials and previews.

so I saw American Gangster after work on Friday. By the way, an instant epic, tour de force for Denzel Washington, oscar material. Great atmosphere without computer generated effects.

So the movie started at 510 and I left work at 515. arrived at about 530, and it was still showing previews till 535. That means, 25 minutes of commercials and previews. an outrage.

but since i missed most of it, yea!

But a person's cell phone rang toward the end of the movie.

How many movies have you seen the message "Silence is Golden. Please turn off your cell phones." ???!!!

So I said, in a normal voice, without inflection and no emotion, "cellphone" as if the person had never seen the 'silence is golden. please turn off cellphone' message.

That is what I've been doing. It is happening in almost every movie. a cell phone rings, and the person thinks nothing about answering it.

There is no legislative action about turning off cell phones. the movie management does nothing about it. resistance is not futile.

I have started this action, since a movie-goer was talking on a cell phone. I was seeing 'Ratatouille' It was ok but the reviewer said the producers did research in kitchens so the cartoon characters would get the kitchen moves. Anyway a little disappointed and left the movie early. but when the guy was talking on the cell phone. and told the management that 'somebody is talking on cellphone' the management was like, 'so what do you want me to do about it?'

I WANT YOU TO GO IN THE THEATRE AND TELL THE PERSON 'SHUT UP'

Saw Hairspray last week, and there were 12 commercials, if you can count each different time the service announcement comes on with a different sponsor. It was during the 10 minutes before the official time the movie started, so that was still too much! And six trailers for upcoming attractions.

NINE COMMERCAILS AND SEVEN PREVIEWS

saw a movie at AMC Courthouse. NINE COMMERCIALS-two were for coke and coke sponsored the pre movie slides with tthe movie trivia. SEVEN previews!!! Only ONE person was disgusted with the half hour pre game show!

I went to see a movie, yesterday 2-23-07 and there were 9 commercials and five previews!!!!!

If each segment tooks 2 minutes, that is over twenty minutes of my life wasted! And TWO coke commercials!

I went to see 'Marie Antionette', and the theatre was full, mostly of older people (like myself)..

After many commercials and previews, an elderly lady in front, yelled out "Where's the movie?" in an old-lady voice.

Being totally in agreement with her feelings, I said "Boo-oo..where's the movie"

I urge you all to start saying "boo", or "Boo, where's the movie", or
NO

during the commercial breaks, BEFORE, the movie begins.
